THE WAR between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and AICC secretary and Nizamabad MP Madhu Yashki turned into a dirty face with the later was alleged by close associates of chief minister as involving in submission of fake educational certificates for his family members to obtain visas.

Yashki, known as close associate of AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi alleged that the `fake certificates’ drama was planted and engineered by two `familier political friends’ of Andhra Pradesh from the benches of CM peshi itself.

According to state-owned transport organization APSRTC former chairman Gone Prakasha Rao, close associate of Rajasekhara Reddy, the educational certificates submitted by three family members of Yaskhi to secure visas to America were fake and it was established in the Hyderabad city police investigation.

The Hyderabad city police in a report, submitted to the DGP stated that investigation had revealed that the degree certificates submitted by the MP’s two brothers, Vivekanand Yaskhi and Sudhakar Yaskhi, and sister Amar Jyothi Yaskhi, were fabricated. The DGP SSP Yadav forwarded the report to the state government for suitable action.

A few weeks ago, Prakash Rao, petitioned to the DGP accusing the MP of abetting his family members secure visas by presenting fake educational certificates at the American Consulate, Chennai. Following directions from the DGP, the Hyderabad Detective Department sent a special team to the universities of Gulbarga and Kakatiya.

The Registrar of Gulbarga University, in a letter (no. GUL/Exam/BE/2007-08/3216) dated January 14, 2008, confirmed that the degree certificates of Vivekananda Yaskhi and Amar Jyothi Yaskhi were fake. The Controller of Examinations of Kakatiya University, in another letter (no. 721/E5/KU/2008) dated February 15, 2008, stated that the B.Sc. (M.P.C.) degree certificate presented by Sudhakar Yaskhi was also fake.

Police sources said the city police submitted the report to the DGP, who in turn wrote to the Government about the findings of the inquiry.

Meanwhile, Madhu Yaskhi said that no police officer had spoken to him about submission of fake certificates by his family members. "The police inquiry was based on the copies of the certificates submitted by Rao and not my family members," he remarked.

He said the police report was politically motivated to tarnish his image and deliberately leaked. Asked whether any of his family members studied in Gulbarga or Kakatiya universities, Yaskhi replied. They have their own lawyers and would reply at an appropriate time.

He alleged that as he has been taking active part in Congress for creation of Telangana state, Chief Minister was trying to snub his voice with such tactics. He claimed that he had already brought to the notice of AICC president Sonia Gandhi about such tricks
