Injuries plague Aussie camp

INJURIES HAVE been a major concern in the Australian cricket camp. Initially the major blow was of Brett Lee being ruled out of the series followed by Paine and now another blow. Moises Henriques is the latest to join the list.

He injured a hamstring in the 4th ODI at Mohali and is now out of the camp. Peter Siddle was in the running and was in fine shape before getting himself ruled out for the entire series.

All-rounder, Andrew McDonald and fast bowler Burt Cockely have been despatched as cover, but will be only available for the 6th ODI.

After two back to back blows from the Indians in Delhi and Nagpur, the Australians notched up in Mohali and levelled the series 2-2, but it’s frustrating on the part of Ponting to see his boys getting injured and especially now before a crucial match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

India on the other hand would love to take the lead and will probably retain the same side with young guns like Kohli, Jadeja and Raina. Added to it the skipper himself and of course with cracker Yuvraj Singh and starter Sehwag.

If things go well for India, it will be the icing on the cake as Gautam Gambhir will make himself available. The bowling attack seems to be well balanced, with Praveen Kumar bowling his best, Nehra right up there standing tall and Ishant filling in.
