Amala's comment on Hindi: Our National Language?

Amala's comment on Hindi: Our National Language?
Monica, just because you and a bunch of north indians speak hindi doesn't mean that it should be the national language. In our country all we have is a common language. English is the common language (and GLOBAL too). HINDI IS ANOTHER REGIONAL LANGUAGE IN INDIA. There is no use to learn hindi. Why don't you learn a bengali / urudu / one o the south indian languages. You know Hindi is the official language only in India. Tamil is a official language in Singapore, Srilanka and Malaysia.

I respect the words of Arun and also Amala.. Merely 10 states speak Hindi and India has 29 states in it. Why can you impose Hindi on rest of the states...Though the centre is doing lot of promotion to Hindi than other languages...which is biased....

i agree Amala, how can you impose hindi on rest of india. It's not just south hardly 10 states in northern india speak hindi. rest of india speaks their own languages. Even the hindi speaking states vary a lot.. for example if you go to rajasthan they speak MARWAR which is different. You cant just declare hindi as national language, as constitution gives equal right to all. why should i accept hindi if hindi speaking people are not willing to even respect other languages spoken in india. it's simply hindi chauvinism.
