No need for demolitions if illegalities are nipped in the bud
Just as the Centre is now becoming firm against cops who do not file FIRs in serious cases on one pretext or the other, including the jurisdictional excuse, and have announced punishment ranging till two years for the policemen who do not file the reports from complainants, so too should there be a strong directive from the Centre or the State Government to local authorities about illegal structures coming up in thousands in our city and elsewhere.

Azam Khan Boston detention, the US Government is least concerned
While the Indian Embassy in Washington and Consulate General in New York immediately took up the detention of UP Parliamentary Affairs Minister Azam Khan on 24 April by the US Customs and Border Protection officials at Logan International Airport, Boston with the concerned authorities in US Government, the US agencies seem hardly concerned about it.

Widespread corruption and the near-impossible task of exposing it have made many government-sponsored schemes in rural India a failure. Neither the state government nor its agencies like the revenue department and the police have shown active interest in the problem.

Recent criminal cases in Allahabad indicate that friends can't be trusted
It was most painful to read the pathetic tale of betrayal by close friends who butchered the name of friendship and wrote a chapter of shame in human relations in a recent criminal case in Allahabad. The betrayal was done by four young men. The victim was their own close friend who had reposed his faith and trust in them and sought their help in arranging for a quiet place where the youth could share some moments with his girl friend.
