Many countries have signed the Montreal Protocol for reduction of Ozone depletion substances in industrial use, countries have compiled with procedural requirement and have satisfied the obligations till some extent but it is only on papers. The treaty says that there shall be reduction of Ozone depleting substance in industrial usage and objective should march towards 50 per cent of the target in next five years.
The Montreal Protocol on substances that deplete the Ozone layer is an international treaty scripted to protect the Ozone layer by reducing the production and use of number of substances in an industrial use by the countries believed to be responsible for Ozone depletion and look for a helping change in industrial and government behavior of the country.
Even though many countries have taken corrective measures and are consciously adding to the cause and provide satisfactory statistics, but the results shown are negligible.
Do you think, these treaties are really adding to what the mission demands or we require some other aggressive measures to save our environment.
