  Will this budget bail India out of economic slowdown?

Entire India has its fingers crossed and waiting for July 6, the day on which Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee will table the budget document. With recession looming all around, it is expected that Mukherjee will take steps to ease the pains and boost economic growth. This will happen only if the FM lays on table wide ranging economic reforms, sale of sick PSUs and massive spend on expenditure.

Yes, this budget will bring India out of economic slowdown to some extent but even than it will be hard for middle cast public.

"massive spend on expenditure"? How exactly does one 'spend' on 'expenditure'? Is it something like going for shopping by an auto, wherein whatever one pays for the ride is considered the 'spend' on the shopping 'expenditure'?

The new government doenot so far proposed any consructive idea for saving India from the economic slowdown.When the Governments all around the world are trying to tighten its grips on private enterprises and to increase govt spending,here a Govt. is trying to move forward with intensive liberalization.Even when the price index shows a negative point common man here is not relieved from price rise of essential commodities.From a Govt.which showed gimmicks by lowering petrol prices just before the election and thengiving shock to aam admi by raising the same prices,I can't expect many..What this govt needs to do is not the sale of PSU's but their rejuvenation.Pranabji,atleast do something to save those Psu which are pushed into heavy losses by the neoliberal blind policies of the former UPA govt.
