Jammu Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah resigned from the top post after it was alleged that his name had cropped up in a sex scandal being probed by CBI. Angered by the accusations, Abdullah in an emotional outburst said that the slur cast in his name would never be cleared and told the Assembly that he will quit as chief minister.
