| There is no comparison for Batchans (excluding Abhishek) and Khans to South actors. The only one actor in the south or in India was NT Rama Rao. There are so many worthy actors in the south but they won't get oppurtunity as long as the family rule continues. Most of the souyh actors depend on the cute hindi heroines and try to continue the fame. The hindi actors always strive hard to prove their worth in action and dignity. The south filmdom has been spoiled after great actors like NTR, Sivaji Daneshan and some othe Malayali actors. I think the directors of south are excellent but they have no scope to produce best films particularly in Telugu field which is purely commercial and monopally of some famlies. |

| The khans and Bachchans always live in abroad in their movies as though all North Indians are born and brought up outside India. They are extremely gaudy and artifical.
On the other hand south indian actors have proved to be good in both commercial or off-beat movies. These big southern superstars are the reason why the most expensive movie in Indian cinema is always a Tamil movie (as on date it's Sivaji). The producers are so confident of these stars that they are ready to invest so much money in a movie that had limited audience unlike the Hindi movies which has the whole nation as the audience. |

| Kamal's rise in Hindi field was suppressed by Bollywood Dons...for fear that he may overtake even the best of Hindi Stars....Coming to Rajnikanth....can any actor match his popularity with the masses...even as far as Japan, Singapore, Malaysia,..places even where Rajnikanth would not have thought of. During "Gharana Mogudu"(Telugu) days...can anyone forget Chiranjeevi was the highest paid actor in the country. Who can equal Mani Ratnam, Prabhu Deva, A R Rahman, Shankar, to name a few in their respective areas. The only difference is that their films have a market in 2 or 3 states only...whereas Hindi films have a market in all the states of India. It's only a Geographical advantage for Hindi Stars...whereas most of the South Indian Stars are packed with Supreme Talent and Energy. |

| Its a senceless debate since both culture and industry is far different from each others. Mumbai and Chennai are basically different in their culture, industry and way life and thinking. In both the regions, there are good parelell cenemas than commercial films. |
