After Jet Airways' pilots held the airlines and the passengers to ransom over forming a union, now their counterparts in Air India have gone on a strike demanding that their salaries should not be cut, despite the poor finances of the company. Since the negotiations regarding the salaries can be done even without strike, it is imperative that government should invoke the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) to ensure pilots continue their work. Do you think the government should invoke ESMA and ask the pilots to resume work?

I think government should train 2000 to 3000 pilots on its own cost and whenever these rich brats go on strike. Dismiss them and fill the slots with the trained guys. Pilots are used to blackmailing as they know they are in short supply. They cant hold a nation to ransom. Why cant they be held accountable if air india is on the verse of closure.
