  Should Bajrang Dal be banned?

In the wake of a visit by its team to Karnataka, where churches were targeted, the National Commission for Minorities has suggested a ban on Bajrang Dal. Its report, submitted to the Prime Minister, says, “The state must keep a close watch on the activities of all such organisations that have contributed to the breakdown of communal harmony there. Remedial action, including a ban and prosecution, should be initiated.” According to the report, out of 83 persons arrested in connection with communal clashes in Bangalore, 36 belonged to Bajrang Dal, while all 17 persons arrested in Udupi district belonged to the organisation. Also, Bajrang Dal's Karnataka chief Mahendra Kumar has reportedly claimed that he damaged prayer halls in the state. Should Bajrang Dal be banned?

Ask these "religious" fanatics what Hinduism means in the first place ? which they are out to "defend" ..does it mean u beat innocent people for apparently no reason as and when u like it ? and by inflicting this pain on the vulnerable people, how can they claim to protect a religion through violence, which in all forms has been condemned in Hinduism. it has always stood for love and goodwill for all.I strongly believe these guys are no better than those bloody terrorists when it comes to carry out selfish tirade to feed thier own political aspirations under the name of religion. Thos cynics hit to kill, these maniacs hit to wound . They wound the integrity of this nation from time to time by wreaking havoc on the nationals themselves and whats worse, they are "INDIANS". If they are bent on straightening the "flouting of traditional Indian norms of decency" by beating and molesting women, they should first straighten the traditional Indian norms of manhood, if they take pride in calling themselves as real "men".
aman : Jan 31, 2009
110% they should be banned..just saw a TV report in a news channel, some 10-15 in number of them were thrashing out girls from a pub screeming "jay shreeram"....and the media people were shooting them beat those girls....this is totally unacceptable..this is not taliban..sab sala milibhagat hai, the media wants TRP and these hijdas want publicity...it happens only in india...I myself literally cried after seeing that...GOD please save the common man
Ashish : Jan 26, 2009
They should be immediately. Because they arer nothing but terrorist and terrorist does not represent any civilised mankind irrespective of religion and culture. These terrorists(all, not only Bajrang) should be delt with extreme toughness so that nobody dares to become a terrorist or support terrorism.
Rajib Luchan Gogoi : Dec 02, 2008
No doubt, they should be banned. They 1st had problem with the Cristianity and now with the Islam no doubt they will cause problem with other hindu communities other then theirs. I think they are not more then the terrorist. But these comments are not going to cause any difference as the Indian goverment it self is terrorist by them selfs.
Abhijit Sawant : Nov 17, 2008
bajarng dal works are shameless and it is also harmful for feature...
arif : Nov 13, 2008
i think bajrang dal is also the synonym of terrorism because as we all know that there is not the religon, caste and creed of terrorism in world, there motto is only play with humanism and create the terror in the heart of people and also destroy human enviroments. if we think over the activities of bajrang dal that they only think about there community, they are not seeing the whole condition of country. it is not good that without any evidence they are killing innocent people and giving a fire and make it politicle issues. in maharast what had done MNS. they become fully meanful person and ready to show over power on north indian people . they only talking that maharast is only for maharastian. its not true because we have a right to live and do any work in any state of our country.we know that MUMABAI is the economical zone of our country so that's why people have jobs and business at there. at last the favourable action should be taken for that communities which creating unbalance enviroment in country and also banned that organisation.
sushil kashyap : Nov 13, 2008
Bajrang dal and other groups like MNS should be banned becoz they are killing innocent people. Nobody can safeguard the interests of India by killing and making people homeless....
Anju : Oct 21, 2008
there is no such records which shows the conversion took place..it is people's choice, they choose whichever religion they like and no one can question... this bajrang dal is an anti-religious and it should be banned as early as possible.... and please do not disturb CHRISTIANS they are like sleeping lions..and...you know what happens when you wake up a lion while sleeping..

We all are Indian.Only Bajrang Dal members are not the part of India.Every citizen know what is right & what is wrong. So they have no right to create any violent action againt any person, any community, any activity.
Moninderpal Kaur : Oct 19, 2008
Bajrang Dal, VHP & RSS should be banned immediately as they all are trouble makers and anti development-anti progressive groups of the country. They always try to divide the people in communal line, so that the people cannot think about their problems and remain poor, unemployed and backward.
R N Das : Oct 19, 2008
All organisations who have terror and creating unrest and hatred as part of their agenda should be banned. These people are not even fit to be called human beings.

yes. and of cours it should be banned as early as possible

Banning is not important, stopping them is. And that can be done without banning the organization. 'Ban' is a bad term and we should ensure that we use it the least.
HemRaj Singh : Oct 16, 2008
it should be
Arpit Christian : Oct 15, 2008
yes i strongly feel that bajrang dal shd be banned coz if they are not stopped who knows how many more people will be killed
sarah : Oct 15, 2008
It should have been banned a long time back when it started raising it's serpentine head. Now, it may be wiser to arrest it's mischievous troublemonger members and supporters first, before a full fledges ban is announced. If just the outfit is banned, the hooligans will resurface under some other guise. They should call themselves Ravan Dal instead of spoiling the name of the compassionate Bajrangbali.
Hanuman Bhakta : Oct 15, 2008
Banned them they are threat to the country.
andy : Oct 14, 2008
There is a hairline difference between communal disputes and terrorism. These are the ways to weaken a country and hurt the sentiments of the citizens.
Smita Rajan : Oct 13, 2008
I think they are a group backed by politicians for their own selfish motives. They are just destroying india secular image and wasting lot of taxpayers money which could be used for the development of the country as a whole.

Bajrang Dal, VHP and all other units of Sangh Parivar should be banned as these organisations do not think about common people and always believe in superstituion false propaganda. They are the real obstacle of unity and fraternity in the country like India. They always glorify the bad customs of our past as "belief" of the people. No body in the country have ever permited them to talk for them.
R N Das : Oct 11, 2008
Yes bajrang dal shoud be banned because no one has right to take life in the name of religion. Religion is life giving or Religion give life to us but criminal and hithen takes the life. We represent the GOD/RELIGION means our nature should life giving if this is not means we are enemy of GOD/RELIGION or we can say that a sinner or criminal. GOD made on one religion which has no name but name religion is given by us but it does not matter because this all relates to GOD and take us to GOD. Love is the base of religion. GOD loves the world so HE forgives us inspite of our lot of faults and mistakes, HE never plans and interesting in our harm but health and life. Think and live with GOD to know HIS LOVE and about HIM more and more. My love to all dear brother and sisters. chaman lal

They are criminals as they use violence as a political tool that is against the very ethos of democracy.

yes india is a democratic country,, n bajrang dal is sumthing causing absolute nusense in india,, dey are just good for nothing,, they should be banned.. I HATE THEM..
benazeer rahat : Oct 10, 2008
Bajrang Dal is an organization with no social inspitation or motive. Same is the Shiv Sena, and Thackreys, who call themself the Baap of mumbai.. Why such un-neccesary statements, when today's generation is of global mind and is in need to come out and face the world with new technology, education, and mindset. The christian nuns who don't get married and sacrifice their life to serve poor people who don't know what saffron colour is, or what religion is.. they just want self-respect, food and sheltor.. and these models of Mother Teresa give them new light and show them a new bright world, and a hope to live for their children and their own generation to grow. Guys, let's be human first.. as only this would matter after our death..and not any fanatic act or comments.. Happy Vijaydashmi and a Very Happy Diwali in advance.. :) Live and let live.

It pains my heart how some of the opinion writers of this coloumn, has the heart to say positive things about this nasty , stinking, third class, party. The members of this party who created violence, murdered, raped, so many christians, all over india, are the same people who learnt to read & write in the christian schools, taught by the christian nuns & priests, to earn a living for the famulies The hands that taught to read & write in the christian schools, are the same hands that are being used to destroy, kill, rape & murder the same authorities, Shame Shame Shame on this stinking, nasty, degrading party the so called Bajrang Dal

those asking for a ban on bajrang dal are inflicting false ideas. people like teesta seetalvad are busy in justifying the terror acts of islam militants. they even go to the extent of consoling them. bajrang dal has done this with the sole intention of protecting hinduism. jai bajrang dal. jai hind.

An event like this is against humanity.I strongly protest such an action by any group of people but banning an the organization is not the solution.Simi and Rss can't be compared.Simi has direct links with ISI and bangladeshi militants,it has been proved many a times by the investigation agencies and that's why it has been banned by the government. In the entire history of RSS it has never been proved of any activity which goes against the national integrity of INDIA(all the protest it has gathered is mainly due to the political rivals alleging it just for making people fool on the name of religion).I would like to say one more thing here The media loses track of the good news and highlight ones that provoke sentiments and make people react without using their conscience.I remember the words of "Swami Vivekananda","In the entire history of humanity the human blood was shed on the name of god more than that in any such circumstances;this has happened because nobody went deeper into the truth; they blindly followed others and that's the main region of voilence on the name of god".When the kandhamaal was burning The Hindus were also burning alive in the assam region but who cares for them neither media(no trp) nor politicians(no vote bank).I demand full security for all in the orissa by the respective state government and appropriate central security agencies. All the people arrested in this regard should be treated strictly as per the law.The matter should be checked out by an transparent agency(preferably non government and consisting of people of every religion) and its verdict about bazrang dal should be given respect without any political uproar. And Last But Not The Least there are some positive news which is missed by mainstream media One of that is, "In Delhi's Jamia Nagar The Muslim Family has helped the delhi police to catch the militants who were hiding in their neighbourhood, it's a sign of the communal harmony and it shows that terrorism has no religion". Long Live Humanity

Bajrang dal should not be banned as they are safeguarding the interest of Hindus. Why the missionaries are doing conversion of tribal population by luring them? More over the Bajrang Dal is an extremist organization born by the undue appeasement to Muslim community by the government and unfair and unhindered conversion by missionaries

Muttonheads and Simpletons, that i would like to call people who have voted against hindu outfit Bajrang Dal. Because, these people won't about what this organisation actually means. There is a famous slogan Jai Bajarang Bali, which calls for the final vistory of Dharma..and wiping out Adhrama. Yes, really it is the fight between Dharma ( HINDU ) Adharma( christians). None of these idiots who themselves claims as christians doesn't know they are Roman Catholics. Can anyone deny that? These people are following rituals of Roman..so how can they embrace and raise Christanity..what a foolish attempt. No ban or rubbish statements from Romans, can't do anything against Dal. Please remember that you are living under Dal's feet, otherwise you life will be shattered. If we aim and our mission, no one can stop us..we will not only kill you..wipe off all evil conversions and evil sources behind that for ever..warning for muslims terrorists also...
