Should Raj be allowed to fan hate politics for his gain?

Raj Thackeray, the man hell-bent on proving himself to be the saviour of Marathi pride, who was arrested by the Maharashtra police on charges of brutal attacks on north Indian railway candidates, was released a day later on bail. This is not the first time that the MNS chief was arrested for attacking North Indians. Raj has been making anti- North Indians statements for quite sometime now and is ridiculing their festivals as well. However, in retaliation to the attacks, disappointed youths after returning from Mumbai disrupted rail service in Bihar and even torched a train and demanded that Raj be tried for sedition. Did Raj Thackeray ever think that his actions would only disintegrate the secular fabric of our country. The MNS seem to have poisoned the atmosphere with their short-term political gains, based on regional vote bank. The MNS’s action will create insecurity among Maharashtrians, who are living outside Maharashtra. Can Raj Thackeray ensure them their breads? Should Raj be allowed to fan hate politics for his gain?

Raj is not doing good at all.He may think that he will grab the power through this hate politics but it is not neccessary thatit will stop there only, because experience tells us that agitation started genuine cause ended up with separatist movement

raj thackrey understands the mass psyche very well and thus instigates at every possible opportunity that he gets.ethnic identity is a very sensitive issue and its easier to assert that identity by chanelising it against a community which is posing their threat. but there have been oppositions who instead of solving the problem ignites it by making controversial statements. the problem with huge immigrant turn out from bihar is omnipresent in case of india. but such a powerful leader is not always there to save a state which we al know otherwise would have been run by goons and corrupt politicians

This kind of parochial politics appears to have a cancerous growth, esp. in parts of Maharashtra and Assam, the spread of which should be checked and arrested by all means, in the interest of the unity of the nation. No one can claim superiority or ownership on any region or territory. The trend which has been allowed to be continued, apparently for political reasons, should be put a stop at least now, come what may! And the message that 'no one is above the law' should be brought to borne on the minds of the people through stern and decisive action against the perpetrators, who are out to safeguard their existence by resorting to such mean methods.

politics that divide the people of our country should be terminate. unity in diversity is the biggest strength of our nation. and people like Raj Thackeray are trying to divide the nation just for their own benefit. Politics that dividing the country's people on basis of region and religion or cast should be banned, because its long term effect is too dangerious. that not only give birth of hate but terrorism also. Raj Thackeray are doing the same and it should be banned immidiately. regards vishal sharma ecovishal@yahoo.com

Mumbai is for everyone and yet not of any one... Nobody has a right to decide who should stay in Mumbai and who shouldn't. I agree that Mumbai is like a filled-balloon, ready to explode anytime. But there are other ways to check the overloading of Mumbai. The Government should provide better and more opportunities to people from all states so that they can achieve their goals in the same. Raj Thackeray can use his authority and power to convince the Government to adopt appropriate ways to provide better employment opportunities to everyone in India.

To be very honest we are no one to segregate people on the basis of cast and creed at the end of the day we are human being and most importantly we are indians first. It is India's destiny that after every 50kms you see a new india we have thousands of languages and dialect across the country. This policy of hate n crime is of so called selfish politicians,if Raj has real guts tell him to visit Bihar without security. To stop these idiots from making such derogatory remarks govt must take their security, they these will not spell a single word. Regards. M.P.Sharma

I strongly disagree with Raj Thakeray or anybody else who try to violate the rights of the citizens of India. According to Indian Constitution an Indian citizen has the right to live or work anywhere in the country. All the citizens are equal in front of the law of the land. How can some selfish politicians play the game of dirty politics and provoke the emotions and sentiments of innocent people? People should understand that such politicians don't bother about the welfare of the society but they take advantage of all the attention they get out of this dirty publicity stunts because their inciting statements become the headlines of the day and they automatically become popular by creating such public statements. I would like to question mr Thakeray that where does he disappear at the time of Monsoon when so many people die due to poor infrastructure. Why doesn't he make headlines by uplifting the infrastructure of Maharashtra? He surely will become a hero then.

EC should ban such political party. Such parties are the enemies of this great nation. I must say the Indian Government has failed to control this as all have political intentions and these criminals are getting relaxation under the proxy banner of political parties
rabi : Oct 23, 2008
Be it Raj or anyone, it's in the least tolerable to seek any gain from such a hatred-generating politics. I do disagree with the way he and his party MNS has been using public sentiments to arouse a situation that'll surely lead to fragmentation of the nation.
