DRISHTIKON is an NGO working towards making the HIV/AIDS infected people to access quality care and is treated with dignity. Effective prevention, care and support for HIV/AIDS is possible in an environment where human rights are respected and where those infected or affected by HIV/AIDS live a life without stigma and discrimination. It has carried out various projects targeting different groups like migrants, school going youth, out of school youth, truckers, women and adolescent children and also home based female sex workers, for prevention of HIV/AIDS/STIs.

AAROHAN is an NGO that believes in freedom through education. We focus on helping children who live below the poverty line (on less than $1 per day) in accessing and benefiting from State Sponsored Education. To make this possible, we not only provide academic support to our students but also work with their parents, larger community and government schools so that their academic pursuit is supported in every area of their lives. Three years on, today Aarohan has facilitated the admission of over 600 children into mainstream government schools and over 300 students attend classes in Aarohan every day. We are currently running five academic support programs and are working together with the Malviya Nagar Girls'MCD School.

Youth for Equality is india's biggest youth movement. its a group of socially conscious and nationalist students, professional, common citizens who opposed caste based reservations throughout the country and fought the battle at the Supreme Court.. Generally the students movements are used by political parties, but y4e is a unique non political students organisation in that no political party has yet been associated with the movement. YFE has challenged the Decision of Parliament in Apex Court and obtained stay on reservations. Youth for equality recently launched its own political wing to contest Loksabha Polls 2009.

Our Lok Satta was established in 1997 and started peoples watch. We are conducting public awareness programs. Our motto is people power. That is "Prajale Prabhuvulu". We are fighting for democratic reforms and political reforms. We have conducted a several programs. Now we are conducting several political awareness programs. Recently through out the state successfully conducted seminars and round table conferences on political parties and their election promises and accountability. Lok Satta trying to create an atmosphere of accountability of the government servents and elected representatives. The final goal is people must win in the elections "but not the political parties". Money and wine distribution by the political parties should be discouraged. To achieve this goal we have established lok satta's "PEOPLE'S WATCH" in all the above centres and also we are conducting joint Vedika programs i.e peoples face to face with the contestants

Deep Griha Society is an independent charitable organisation working to better the lives of people living in the slums of Pune, India. Through a range of family welfare programmes encompassing education, health, awareness building and self-help projects, DGS helps thousands of beneficiaries within Pune and several nearby villages. Founded in 1975, Deep Griha Society was started by Dr Neela Onawale with support from her husband Rev Bhaskar Onawale. Today, Deep Griha has centres in three slum areas in Pune - Tadiwala Road, Ramtekadi and Bibwewadi - with a combined target population of more than 50,000. Additionally, Deep Griha runs two rural projects - City of Child (at Kasurdi village) and Vidyanagari (at Chaufula village).

The All India People's Manifesto initiative is possibly the largest ever public mobilization in the context of the national elections, which is bringing together local groups from across parliamentary constituencies of India to voice their expectations and ?set the agenda for India? in the context of the upcoming national elections. Across April, this campaign will focus on consolidating the key demands that have emerged across the country into a ?People?s National Governance Agenda? which will outline the policy and program initiatives that the next government of India must undertake. The UN in India has offered its support to take the local and online demands to its base of over 20,000 policy makers, academics, researchers and development practitioners across the country through its Solution Exchange network.The ?People?s National Governance Agenda? will be presented to the newly formed government in June 2009 and will set the advocacy agenda for civil society engagement with the government in the coming term.
