The demand for maintenance charges in Gurgaon's industrial area remains a tendentious one even without the new controversies that routinely surround it. Most recently, a local industrial association has made the claim that maintenance money collected from Udyog Vihar's plot owners is being used to defray HSIIDC's internal expenses, including staff salaries. Viral fever on the rise in Gurgaon, but no dengue outbreak expected yet
The rains might be sparse this year, but the monsoons are on. The city has already recorded two cases of dengue, one in old Gurgaon and one in Sector 40. Around 20 cases of malaria have also been reported. A spokesperson of Civil Hospital informed that with results of a number of cases yet to come in, the total number could go up to 100.
