Punahana curfew enters third day
Curfew continued in Punahana on Monday after the district administration failed to make the two communities, which clashed on the polling day last week, reach a compromise. The administration had set up a common panchayat for the purpose, but hours before the meeting the representatives of the two communities backed out saying they were not ready for it. Bhupinder Singh Hooda seeks policy to ease high toll rates
Following increasing resentment against the "excessive" toll charges, Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday asked officers to frame a policy to provide relief to people. He also directed officers to discontinue charging increased rates at toll plaza till the time policy is framed for giving relaxation in toll rates. Source : Times of India
