Vertical: Future direction of Gurgaon's real estate
Gurgaon is a city that was built by private builders - be it factories, office buildings or large residential societies. After years of horizontal growth, real estate expansion has reached a saturation point in terms of availability and cost. Recently, height restrictions on buildings were eased and many property developers announced projects having 60 floors. While tall buildings will give Gurgaon a Manhattan-like skyline, authorities in Haryana and Gurgaon will have to be careful while approving building of high-rises as Gurgaon falls in a high-risk earthquake zone.

Gurgaon police gets special vehicles to help..
Gurgaon police have procured a Special Emergency Service Vehicle (SESV) fitted with latest machinery and gadgets to help provide timely aid to accident victims. The SESV, procured at a cost of Rs 18 lakh, will be unveiled during the Republic Day celebrations in Gurgaon.

Bribe Reports in Gurgaon
- had to pay as to get work done as soon as possible.
- Paid bribe to traffice police.
- Didn't even jump the light.. just crossed the zebra crossing and stopped.. yet had to pay a penalty
- The engineer asked for 1000 rs bribe to make electricity bill less
- Had to buy gas cylinder in black - paid 700 rs
- Did not have envioronment clearance paper - Police pushed me to pay 500 rs. - no recept given
- Had to pay 2000 for Passport verification at Sushant Lok Police Station
- Traffic Police forced me to pay a bribe of Rs 500

Candle-light dinners have become a routine since I shifted to Palam Vihar a month back. Had I not been living alone, I would have thanked Power Department but no thanks! Rampant and irregular power cuts have taken a toll. It becomes more messy in the evenings. Is this Millennium city or a village of 1930's? Power department, if existential must make sure that a hassle-service is provided.
wine and beer shop near Hospital. Today morning while passing by from Columbia Asia, i came across this Beer and wine shop(commonly known as "Theka") which is owned by government. But as far as i know about the Indian Law- is is strictly prohibited to open wine and beer shop with in one KM range of any school and hospital. So concluding that the officials should notice this and take some strict action against it.
Breaking the Law Early in the morning, as I was waiting for an auto I saw 3 boys who were on a bike violating many a laws. Firstly, they were without their helmets, secondly they were below the age of 18, but to top it all, they were in their school uniforms bunking school.
