Despite Kumble's heroic bowling effort, which allowed the deccan to score only 143 runs, the royal challengers failed to clinch the IPL league due to the poor performance of their batters. Failure of Kallis and Manish Pandey , who performed really well in last two matches as well as Dravid, who could have done a great service to Royals had he been able to play the sheet anchor role was another reason Royals could not win this match. But this again match once again proved that class is permanent and a team which comprises adam Gilchrist, herschelle gibbs, Andrew symonds could be very difficult to defeat. Like last year when IPL 2008 trophy was won by Shane warne, this year also IPL 2009 trophy will be picked by an aussie Adam Gilchrist, who is also a great cricketer like Warne.
