Euro, USD Slip on Weak US Data; Aussie Awaits RBA

The euro and U.S. dollar slipped on Tuesday after dismal data from Europe to the United States raised expectations for more action from central banks in both regions. Investor hopes for the European Union's plan to support debt-laden countries turned to skepticism, which was further fanned by Monday's report showing U.S. manufacturing contracted for the first time in nearly three years.
