India and Iran are facing the same Wahabi terror
Atithi Devo Bhavah ? And it means 'Guest is God'. According to Wikipedia, the mantra from Upanishad Shikshavalli I.11.2 says: matrudevo bhava, pitrudevo bhava, acharyadevo bhava, atithidevo bhava. It literally means "be one for whom the Mother is God, be one for whom the Father is God, be one for whom the Teacher is God, be one for whom the guest is God."
And now we're preparing to host a grand welcome to a Great Guest from the Holy Lands of Islam. Our guest is no other but a prince of Al Saud dynasty, who had recently been in the news for all wrong reasons including the murder of a Saudi Journalist Jamal Khashogi. He reminds me of Mughal Aurangzeb who had also incarcerated and killed his real brothers. The track record of Mohammed bin Salman is almost not very different. While the Human Right's conscious individuals, groups and governments around the globe are asking him to answer about the murder of Jamal Khashogi and brutal repression of minorities and women in Saudi Arabia, the so-called Islamic Republic of Pakistan has awarded him the highest Honour of Pakistan ? Nishan-e-Pakistan. Whatever form of oligarchy left in the political life of Pakistan, it still claims to be a sovereign state.
During the recent visit of prince MBS's to Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has proudly flouted his status as the 'driver of the Prince.' It was a new expression of humility bordering on a lowest level of seduction or flirtation. Be that as it may.
India is passing through the most strenuous period and the whole nation is mourning the murders of around 50 of its jawans and officers in the last week by Pakistan sponsored terror. India is trying hard to expose the duplicity and complicity of Pakistani Army and rulers. Jaish-e-Mohammad has claimed responsibility for the bloodiest terrorist attack in Pulwama, The issue of Azhar's listing and how China has been blocking New Delhi's efforts to designate Masood Azhar as a global terrorist at Pakistan's behest is an open secret. It is a key issue the Indian Foreign Secretary has been highlighting in his meetings with envoys from G-20 countries, including Saudi Arabia. We're looking towards our friends around the globe to support our just efforts.
It is said ? a friend in need is a friend in deed. India has been second to none to build up a New Saudi Arabia. There is long list of Indians who have spent their whole lives and often sacrificed their lives to make Saudi a modern country ? from donkey to Mercedes.
However, a day before Saudi Crown Prince MBS has signed off on a joint statement with Pakistan that says - there was a need to avoid "politicisation of the UN listing regime."
To expose a terror and terror sponsoring state in not 'politics' and that exposing process is justification and not 'politicisation'. The international community is well aware of that. The use of word 'POLITISATION' in the joint statement is an apparent reference to India's efforts to list Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Maulana Masood Azhar as a "global terrorist". Saudi Arabia knows this language.
Beyond doubt, it puts a stamp of approval on Pakistan's narrative that India is trying to politicise the UN listing process ? least expected from a friendly county at this critical juncture.
India and Iran have been the victims of this Wahabi terror for long which originates from Saudi Arabia. As many as 23 members of Iran's elite paramilitary Revolutionary Guard Corps force in south-eastern Iran on last Wednesday were killed in a ghastly attack. Iranian authorities allege that Wednesday's deadly bombing against IRGC in the border province of Sistan-Balochistan was "planned and carried out from inside Pakistan" with support of the intelligence agencies of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Iran also threatened to take unilateral military punitive action against the perpetrators if Pakistan failed to do so.
Major-General Mohammad-Ali Jafari of the Islamic Republic Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran said that they would avenge the blood of the personnel who lost their lives in the ghastly attack that took place on Wednesday. "We will avenge their blood. If Pakistan doesn't do its duties in fighting terrorism, Iran will fight the terrorist groups organised by regional and extra-regional intelligence services. Inasmuch as the Government of Pakistan knows the location of these elements that are dangerous to Islam and should be accountable for the crimes the terrorist have committed, it is expected that they do their duty with seriousness and not allow the terrorists to use their border areas to organise anti-security moves against Iran,
Describing the genesis of such attacks, Gen Jafari said: "If Pakistan doesn't do its duties in this regard, Iran, based on the international laws, has the right to counter the adjacent threats in the neighbouring countries and will punish the terrorists that are the mercenaries of regional and extra-regional intelligence services."
And here a kettle is calling the pot black. The Saudi Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir made the remarks Monday during a visit to Pakistan that Iran was harboring what it said was "the board of directors of al-Qaida" and rejected charges Riyadh was behind last week's suicide car bombing that killed against 27 personnel of the Iranian Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).
The government of Pakistan has the proven track record to shed the crocodile tears after every such incident. As usual, the Foreign Minister Qureshi told reporters that he spoke to his Iranian counterpart, Jawad Zarif, on Sunday, assuring him of Pakistan's cooperation in investigating last week's terrorist attack. "If they have evidence they will share with us and we will be helpful. We have been dealing with these issues in the past we have cooperated with each other to overcome these difficulties and we will do so in the future as well," Qureshi noted. He urged Iranian leaders to desist from issuing threatening statements against Pakistan. "Iran is our neighbour and we would not want to cause any problem for them. We respect their sovereignty and their territorial integrity and I am sure they respect ours," Qureshi cautioned. So, we should never be deceived and hoodwinked by Pakistan excuses and rhetoric and there must be a permanent solution like Indira Priyadarshni Gandhi had found once to end this game of terror. We're with you dear Prime Minister Modi with whatever positive step you take! Don't trust the false friends! Jai Hind!
