Maharashtra Sugar commissioner Rajendra Chavan with wife and MLA Balasaheb Patil were amongst attending the function of starting crushing season of Saiyadri Sugar Factory in Karad on Sunday November 1th, 2009. The state-owned sugar mills are going into production beginning from November 01 with a production target of 103,000 tonnes that will meet about 7.0 per cent of the country's requirement
