Hindustani Classical Vocalist - Pt. Bhimsen Joshi
Pandit Bhimsen Joshi an Indian vocalist in the Hindustani classical tradition, died on January 24, 2011. He was the member of the Kirana Gharana. Bhimsen Joshi was known for his powerful voice, amazing breath control, and musical sensibility. Some of Joshi's more popular ragas include Shuddha Kalyan, Miyan Ki Todi, Puriya Dhanashri, Multani, Bhimpalas, Darbari and Ramkali. Joshi had also sung for several films.
