The George Stickney House currently home to Police Department of Bull Valley village in McHenry County, Illinois is considered one of the most haunted places in the world. At the more than 175 years old building several individuals claimed to have seen figures moving about and heard sounds of steps. According to Wikipedia, in 2005 Bull Valley Police Chief Norbert Sauers described hearing footsteps in the second floor ballroom. The Chief has also personally experienced objects moving around on his desk, lights turning off, doorknobs turning, and a door opening, seemingly by themselves, and voices from thin air, having once heard a shout in his ear when no one was around him.
