World Largest Country Russia
Russia is the largest country in the world by total area covering more than one eighth of the Earth's inhabited land area. Russia's total area is 17,075,400 square kilometres. Country has the world's largest forest reserves. With more than 143 million people, Russia is the eight most populous countries in the world and the density of this country is 8.3/km2. In 2010, Russia's birth rate was 12.6 births per 1000 people. Russia shares borders with both European and Asian nations including Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, and North Korea. Country is the permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
