Global warming has put a big question mark on the existence of river Ganga. As the glaciers are melting at an alarming pace, the Gaumukh too, has been shrinking which should set alram bells ringing among the authorities and environmentalists. After the Ganga river has been declared as a national heritage recently, more serious efforts are needed to conserve its origin and to keep it free from pollution is also a big daunting task.
