Take a few plastic bags and scrunch them in the corner of your backpack. They will not occupy much space but are very useful. You can use them to keep your wet cloths, after you have a shower or a swim. It will help you to separate the clean cloths from wet cloths. You can also use them to keep your soap, if it is wet, or shampoo. It also works as a substitute for an umbrella.
